Who Gets the Call?
The Found, Answered, Shown checklist: 21 checks that show whether Google, ChatGPT and your own phone send customers to you or to the business down the street.
Three columns. Seven checks in each.
Each check takes two to five minutes: a search, a phone call, a login. No agency and no software to buy.
Found
Do people searching Google, the map and AI answers find you, with the right service, hours and phone number?
One of the checks
Your Google Business Profile’s primary category is the exact service you sell.
Answered
When they call, text or fill in a form, what happens in the next minute, at night, and on Saturday?
One of the checks
A call at 6:40 p.m. reaches a person or a real answer.
Shown
Whoever does your marketing: can you see, in writing, what was done and what came back?
One of the checks
Your domain, website, Google profile, ads and analytics are in your name.
How to use it. Be strict.
- 01
Run the checks yourself, from your own phone. For the call checks, use a number your staff won’t recognize.
- 02
Tick a box only if it passes. “Mostly” is a red.
- 03
Count the empty boxes per column. The scorecard on the last page tells you where the money is going first.
- 04
Fix one column at a time. Found brings people to you, Answered keeps them, Shown tells you whether any of it worked.
Found a leak? We can measure the rest.
The Visibility Audit runs the same checks for you, with a dollar figure on each gap. Or start with 20 minutes on the phone.
